PARKINSONS DISEASE (Poem)

PARKINSONS DISEASE

You know this feeling of the mind
You’re trapped inside your body shell
People do not understand
You’re trapped inside a living hell

As life around you carries on
And people go their merry way
You want to go and join in
You yearn for just a normal day

Try as you may, you can’t join in
As a moment soon becomes an hour
You’re trapped inside a living hell
You’re body seems to have no power

How do we make friends understand
The hell we’re going through?
We know deep down inside ourselves
Our friends are suffering too

To lose a loved one in this way
Is hard for all to take
It forces unplanned change in life
So much has to forsake

For those afflicted with this ill
We know we must fight on
We must remain in positive mind
We must show that we’re strong

We must have faith and self belief
That a cure can be found
To rid us of this living hell
In which we all are bound
